Western Illinois Jazz Festival 2/23/10
On Saturday, February 20th, 2010, Central High School Jazz Band I performed at the 37th Annual Western Illinois University Jazz Festival. After a terrific competitive performance by the Jazz Band, they enjoyed a clinic by world renowned and Grammy award winning bassist, John Clayton. The band placed 2nd overall.
State Jazz Band Festival 1/30/10
Congratulations to the Jazz Bands on their performance this past weekend at the IHSMA State Jazz Band Festival. Both bands played extremely well and we are very proud of them. Jazz Band I earned a Division I “Superior Performance” Rating, and Jazz Band II earned a Division II “Outstanding Performance” Rating.
