BOP Announcement 6/30
Financial Updates:
Air Show: We received a check for $700. FYI: Our intro
letter from the concession company said about $2,000 for this event.
A special thanks to those of you that worked long hours at this
event.
Car Wash: We made about $425. A huge thinks goes to
Sudlow for allowing us use of their facilities at the last minute.
Again we are also very apperceive of our hard working parent and
student volunteers at the car washes.
Future Car Wash: We would like to do a multiple
site car wash the last Saturday in August. Would you be willing to
organize this event for us?
Volunteer Opportunities: Remember that you get a
$50 price break for your marching band charges when your student or
family puts in 10 hours. We have had a lot of students and parents
sign up to help and then not return calls from chairman who needed
their help. Our group has always depended on absolutely everyone
pitching in and doing their part. Are you doing yours?

Birdies for Charity Pledges Due June 27
6/23
***Parents: You can choose to
make donations (as a patron or adopt an instrument sponsor)
and pay certain fair share band fees through the John Deere Classic
golf tournament Birdies for Charity fundraiser. In addition, BOP
will receive a 10% bonus on all dollars pledged through Birdies.
Many donors choose to donate a designated amount of money rather
than an amount per birdie.
You do not pay anything now. You fill out a pledge form and send
it to Dianne DaGama at 2116 E 45th St, Davenport, IA 52807 by
June 27.
After the golf tournament, you'll be mailed a notice of your
pledge amount due. Your payment will be sent to Birdies for Charity
and the payment is due to them by September 25, 2008.
Only Patron or Adopt an Instrument pledges are tax deductible.
For individual student payments through Birdies, you are receiving
some kind of goods or benefits, and therefore that portion is not
tax deductible. You do help BOP by using Birdies for your individual
payments and Patron/Adopt an Instrument donations because of the 10%
bonus the group receives.
If you have any questions, pleas contact Dianne DaGama at
441-9871 or email her at
drdagama@msn.com Thank you for your generosity!

Band Parents from BOP 4/27
Marching Band Parents:
Thanks to all those of you who attended the Mon. meeting and
turned in your volunteer forms! If you still have your form, please
fill it out and send it to school. If you missed the meeting, you
can print a form from the Downloads page.
REMEMBER: to get the lowest band fee rate possible, parents need
to contribute at least 10 volunteer hours! There are many
opportunities to help, and we rely heavily on our parent helpers to
make events happen. Thank you for getting involved!
If you prefer, you can email your volunteer interests to Jo
Souder Vandecar,
josivan@revealed.net, or call her at 323-5318. PLEASE SHARE THIS
